This briefing outlines new analysis of a range of research into single homelessness amongst people aged 18-25. The study looks at people’s experiences of homelessness including the reasons why young people first become homeless; their housing histories and backgrounds as well as the vulnerabilities they face and lengths they go to in order to avoid the harsh reality of sleeping on the streets. It also highlights their interactions with the care and school systems as children.
